TLX- 4th Class Laser Therapy
High-frequency lasers have been used successfully for a number of years in human medicine to treat top athletes.
Laser treatment enables professional soccer players with tendon injuries or cruciate ligament tears to return more quickly to their sport on a sustained basis after a brief rehabilitation period. The high success rate has led experts to further develop these procedures and adapt them to the needs of equine medicine.
By means of four patented wavelengths, each of which have different properties but are produced simultaneously, higher total energy is achieved in the target tissue. This combination leads to biostimulation, resulting in faster regeneration of the injured tissue as well as the inhibition of inflammation and reduction of pain.
How is an FP4 treatment carried out?
At the beginning of the treatment, an appropriate laser treatment protocol and training program will be developed for the horse. The laser treatment takes place over a period of two weeks, during which the horse is lasered once or twice per day. The laser treatment is generally very successful when combined with a training plan tailored specifically to the patient, regular ultrasound checks and monitoring of the horse’s movement. It is also possible to do individual laser sessions to prevent recurrence of the injury.
Inner X laser treatment
The Inner-X laser is the first laser worldwide with 3 wave lengths that can be used for intra-articular applications. It enables us to apply the biostimulatory effect of the laser beam intra-lesionally using a needle. This makes it possible to treat lesions in the deep muscles of the back or in the spinal column, for example.
